Impression

Looking back this project, I'm very happy that I got Tamara Van den Broeck as my contact. I had an extremely good time.

Tamara is really determined, humorous and patient. She's very cultivated too and we had many nice conversations about  interesting things. Although I was a bit lazy, she had the nerve to keep reminding me about the mails, which was nice and I think writing her paid off all the times. I'm also very proud that she didn't write my name wrong in her text about me in these pages.

The mails tended to slip off topic but I caught something about Belgium anyway: you have the Manneke Piss in Belgium. Although I think I knew that already. My contact taught me a great deal of the language too. So she told that I should say "Zin om met me uit te gaan?" to every Belgian I accidentally insult or perhaps step on their toes. I must try that.

Tot ziens,

Kimmo

Impression

The impression I got of Kimmo was only positive. I was very lucky with the correspondent I was assigned to.

In the first letter  he described himself as nice, helpful, bright, well-behaved, humorous and modest. I agree with everything accept the modest part. He doesn't seem modest at all, maybe a bit poetic instead. He was funny, very open and he wrote very exiting letters.

He told me about the sports he practices ( there are a lot of them), and his hobby's. He said he was very lazy but I thought it was OK. I enjoyed writing to him and I enjoyed even more reading his letters. We didn't only wrote official letters, but also private letters so we could get to know each other better.

I learned a lot about life in Finland. The school- system is different from ours. But the people have a normal way of living, not very different from ours.

I thought this e-mail project was a very good idea and I think it improved my English.

Hyvää yätä
